Brian Thomas
Brian Thomas is an Emmy Nominee & Award-Winning Director, Filmmaker, and Celebrity Choreographer with a career spanning over three decades in television, film, and live performance.
At the age of 22, Brian made the bold decision to chase his dreams of becoming a professional dancer. He moved to NYC in 92' and trained at the world-renowned Broadway Dance Center. It took him only two years to become one of Michael Jackson’s principal dancers for the 1995 MTV Music Awards. Over the next 10 years he danced and choreographed for many other artists like Whitney Houston, Pink, Alicia Keys, Usher, Liza Minnelli, Jason Derulo, Mary J, Mya, Ricky Martin, and ultimately choreographing his dream show—the Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary Special, a project that earned him an Emmy Nomination.
His passion for visual storytelling expanded into directing and filmmaking, leading to his first feature documentary film, Amy’s Victory Dance. The film won numerous awards and secured distribution on Amazon Prime, Delta Airlines, and many other streaming platforms today. He also spent over a decade working on Sesame Street, earning Emmy Recognition for his contributions to the series. He currently is working in New York finishing his second feature documentary Follow Lead Love.
